Funeral & Cemetery Pre-Planning

If you are thinking of pre-arranging your church funeral service and/or cemetery service with us, please call Teresa to set up an appointment. She would be happy to help you document your wishes. (586-757-3306 x303) Funeral Home arrangements will have to  be made separately.

Pre-planning cemetery arrangements can help you:
  • Avoid family disputes: By recording your wishes, you can relieve your family from making important decisions during a difficult time.

  • Save time: Pre-planning gives your loved ones time to research and discuss options.

  • Freeze prices: Pre-planning now can help you avoid inflation and future cost increases.

  • Consider how you want to be remembered: You can think about whether you want a traditional burial or cremation, and what kind of monument or marker you want.

  • Start the conversation early: Pre-planning isn't reserved for people of a certain age or in declining health. It's better to start when people are healthy and can still make their own decisions.

Here are some things to consider when pre-planning cemetery arrangements:
  • Gather information
~Learn about the available options and balance value and cost.

  • Document your decisions
~Create a plan to document and share your decisions with family and friends.

  • Get written agreements
~If you make purchases, the cemetery, funeral home, or memorial supplier will issue written agreements and guarantees.

  • Consider pre-need insurance
~You can use an independent final expense insurance policy to pre-pay for final arrangements.
