The Archdiocese of Detroit takes seriously every allegation of sexual abuse and exploitation. We are committed to protecting children and adults from harm. Our Safe Environment program is in place to help prevent sexual abuse within our community and to heal the wounds of past victims.
On the AOD web site you will find information about our abuse prevention programs and policies adopted to keep everyone safe in our community. The Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People is the main document we follow in directing our work.

Safe environment programs are in place to assist parents and children - and those who work with children - in preventing harm to young people. The Archbishop has approved the following age appropriate safe environment training.programs to be taught in the Archdiocese of Detroit:
Training for Adults
Training for Grades 9-12
Training for Grades K-8
